Lady Hamilton hotel
The Lady Hamilton is located in the heart of Stockholm's old town: Gamla Stan. It is only fifteen minutes' walk to the Central Station and a similar distance to the hustle and bustle, restaurants and nightlife of Stureplan.

Lady Hamilton hotel
Sister property to the Lord Nelson, this charming boutique hotel is housed in a building that dates from 1470. Opened as a hotel in 1975 and refurbished to reflect 18th century period of Lady Hamilton (Lord Nelson's beloved mistress), it is a museum in itself, a dramatisation of both Swedish and English history.
The lobby is small with the reception desk to the left of entrance. It is adorned with historic artifacts and pieces of art: a theme that persists throughout the hotel. The guest rooms vary size and shape due to the age of the building, but are designed and furnished individually to a high standard. Each one is named after a regional flower, painted on the door by Swedish artist Ingrid Svensson. There is a small restaurant on the ground floor where breakfast is served. Lunch and dinner can be taken at the "Leijontornet," the restaurant of the Victory Hotel - less than five minutes' walk away and part of the same group.

Traveller from London stayed in December, 2006
Comment
Very small and narrow (twin-bed) room. Difficulty sleeping due to church bells that chimed every 15 minutes throughout night.
Excellent breakfast; helpful friendly staff.
Top Tip
Book restaurants for weekend eating, either in Gamla Stan or City, well in advance!
