Dating from the early 1980s, the Rica Hotel is housed in a large modern building, which seems to have been constructed as part of the shopping centre. The medium sized lobby is modern and functional, with a seating area that looks out through large glass windows onto the street. The 292 guest rooms are amongst the best in the category to be found in Stockholm. They are large and have been decorated to a high standard. The en suite bathrooms are also in very good condition. The main restaurant is located in the large interior courtyard which forms the centre of the hotel. This is a lovely area with a retractable roof which is opened during the summer. A Scandinavian buffet breakfast is also served here every morning. The hotel is owned by a religious charity, so no alcohol is served on the premises.
